2025 Project Graduation
What is Project Grad?
PROJECT GRADUATION is an all-night, parent-chaperoned, drug, alcohol and smoke/vape free celebration for graduating Obra D. Tompkins High School seniors. The event will be held on May 14, 2025 and is sponsored by the OTHS Project Graduation Parent Booster Club.
Did you know that statistics from the National Traffic Safety Association show that graduation night is one of the deadliest nights for our youth? Midnight to 3:00 AM is the most dangerous time period. Because of the tragedies that produced these statistics, Project Grad came to exist. The program was started by a community in Maine in 1980 as a response to the 12 lives lost the previous year on graduation night. By providing our seniors with this lock-in event, we know that at least for one night, we will be able to keep our kids out of harm’s way.
We are asking you to join us in this endeavor to promote a safe environment for the seniors of
Tompkins High School!
Fundraising will begin soon and we need your help to meet our goals as Project Grad is totally dependent on donations. No public, district, or school funds are available for this project.
